Fundraising...
We understand that all projects, regardless of whether they are architectural, community or regeneration based, have to start from somewhere.
Typically, this involves a good idea and initial input of voluntary time and effort.
Once this basis is established, fundraising is often the next step to help the idea to start to become a reality. This is where we can help, if not beforehand.
Over the last 3 years we have developed an excellent track record of fund- finding, making funding applications and project managing to maximise the outcomes finance can bring. Whether this is through private or public funding routes, The Facility can advise and assist from preliminary concept through to delivering final outcomes. Some sample projects are outlined below.
Pacesetters - Energy Harvesting R&D Project
Project funds in excess of £100k have been committed by EDF Energy, with future applications planned to DTI and TFL. Industry and Academic partners as have been appointed and are being managed by The Facility Innovate Ltd on this ground breaking project.
Camera Obscura Treehouse
We sourced the funds for this £20k community based project through the Local Authorities Cleaner Greener Safer Programme. Here we worked alongside our primary school client to make the funding applications and deliver the design and construction of the project, featured in a Photographers Gallery Exhibition and on Radio 4.
Freedom Cycle Project
The Arts Council England and Land Securities funded this extensive young persons design and consultation project to the tune of £35k. We worked closely with the client to devise the project programme and made applications on a pro-bono basis.
Playscape
The Facility initiated and found funding for a year5 pupil based, artist lead playground redesign project. We sourced funding from The Paul Hamlyn Foundation, The Mercers Foundation, Southwark EBA and Burdens Builders Group, to fund a series of cross curriculum dance play and design workshops which hand resulted in the construction 2 new buildings/playspaces.
