The Facility Architects have been requested to carry out a feasibility study, investigating the possibility and costs of building new office and teaching space between the car park and existing administration offices / classroom.

Currently, Rushmore has a management team based at the Elderfield Road Entrance, alongside the entrance to the nursery and reception buildings. The headteachers office is currently based away from these spaces towards the Rushmore Road Entrance, where children and parents enter the school at the start of the day. Latecomers may use the Elderfield entrance which is also the focus for parent admin. matters such as diner money etc. At the end of the day, the Elderfield entrance becomes a busy focus for After-school Clubs "pick-up".

Analysis of these operational / managerial functions suggests a school which allows for flexibility and separation between administrative and teaching functions, where each can operate independently or cohesively as required.
